Terms of Service
Effective August 21, 2026.
1. Who we are
GeoLocity is operated by Blind Spot Intelligence LLC(“GeoLocity,” “we,” “us”). By using this site or any service we provide (collectively, the “Service”), you agree to these Terms.
2. What GeoLocity is — and is not
GeoLocity is information and research built from publicly-available geological and land data, primarily sourced from the U.S. Geological Survey, federal agencies, and licensed third-party data providers.
GeoLocity is not:
- A real-estate brokerage or licensed real-estate service
- A law firm; we do not provide legal advice
- A title company; we do not perform title searches
- A tax or investment advisor
- An appraisal or valuation service
Outputs of the Service — including any subsurface signal report, mineral-rights indication, or proximity result — are screening information only. They are not authoritative findings. Any decision with legal, financial, or transactional consequence requires confirmation by a licensed professional in the relevant jurisdiction.
3. Data sources and accuracy
We aggregate data from public and licensed sources, including but not limited to the U.S. Geological Survey (MRDS, Earth MRI, landslide and fault inventories), FEMA, the EPA, the Bureau of Land Management, state agencies, the U.S. Census Bureau, Mapbox (geocoding), ATTOM Data (parcel records), OpenStreetMap, and commercial search services used for the water-demand scan. We do our best to present this data accurately and to attribute it to its source. We do not guarantee that the data is complete, current, or error-free.
Coverage varies by county and by data type. The absence of a result does not prove absence in the underlying source data.
4. Your account
You do not need an account to run a free scorecard or to buy a single report. An account is required to buy a Report Pack — its credits attach to your account — and an account also keeps a history of the reports you have run or purchased.
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or make a purchase. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure and for activity that happens under your account. You can delete your account, or any saved report in it, at any time from the account page; deletion is permanent.
5. Payments, report credits, and refunds
Paid products are billed at the prices shown at checkout. There are two, and nothing recurring:
- A one-time Complete Report for a single parcel. It unlocks the specific parcel you purchased it for and remains available to you afterward, permanently.
- A Report Pack of five report credits. Each credit unlocks one parcel’s complete report, on any parcel you choose. Credits attach to your account. Unspent credits expire twelve (12) months after purchase. A report you have already unlocked with a credit is yours permanently — expiry applies only to credits you have not yet spent.
Prices may change; changes never affect a purchase you have already made.
Payments are processed by Stripe. We never receive or store your card number.
Because reports are delivered immediately and credits are usable immediately, all purchases are final and non-refundable — including Report Packs and any unspent or expired credits. If a technical failure on our side prevented a report you paid for from being delivered, email us and we will correct the delivery — that is the remedy we offer.
If you hold a legacy monthly subscription from before August 2026, it continues under its original terms until it ends; no new subscriptions are offered.
6. The Service is actively evolving
GeoLocity is a young product under active development. We may add, change, or retire features, data layers, quotas, and plans as the Service grows — including suspending or discontinuing parts of the Service — at any time. Where a change removes something you paid for and haven’t received, we will make it right; otherwise, changes apply going forward and are not grounds for a refund of past use.
7. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the Service — including an account — for violation of these Terms, abuse of the Service or its rate limits, or unlawful activity, with or without notice. You may stop using the Service, or delete your account, at any time. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification) survive it.
8. Indemnification
If your use of the Service — including any decision, transaction, or claim you make in reliance on its outputs, or your violation of these Terms — leads to a third-party claim against GeoLocity, you agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from the resulting liabilities, damages, and reasonable legal costs.
9. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to scrape, mirror, or republish underlying data feeds in violation of their licensing terms
- Use automated tools to issue queries beyond posted rate limits
- Misrepresent Service outputs as official, authoritative, or attorney-reviewed when they are not
- Use the Service to harass, defraud, or otherwise harm another person or property owner
10. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, brand, written copy, and curated organization of public data, is owned by GeoLocity. Underlying public data (e.g., USGS) remains in the public domain and is attributed where practical. Licensed third-party data is used under our agreements with those providers.
11. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. We disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty arising from course of dealing or usage of trade.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, that defects will be corrected, or that the Service or the servers that make it available are free of viruses or other harmful components.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, GeoLocity, its officers, members, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, arising out of your access to or use of the Service.
In no event will our aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service exceed the greater of one hundred U.S. dollars ($100.00) or the amount you have paid us in the prior twelve (12) months.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Effective” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent change. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in San Diego County, California.
